Jeff,
Thanks for posting this. Ed Welch has written much that is helpful, I especially enjoyed his book “When People are Big and God is Small.” It challenged me a lot, and helped me to grow. In fact, I avoided reading it for some time because I knew it was going to bring me to a painful self-confrontation. Then I kicked myself for waiting so long!
This article on depression was timely, I immediately sent it to a friend who is struggling.
Blessings,
Derek
You’re welcome. I haven’t read a lot from him but like this article. The part about medication is very balanced.
Jeff
I agree it is a wonderful article. Very insightful, hope-inspiring, and balanced on the issue of medication. I posted it to facebook. Thank you for bringing it to our attention!
You’re welcome
I like the article about depression.I am in a group where the subject comes up alot.I know many people who suffer from mental illness.I suffer from Ashberger’s Syndrome.I think that God uses depression to draw us to him. That was one of the things that drew me to him.
Hi Michael. I’m somewhat familiar with Asperger’s. I have some very muted similarities but that’s not a diagnosis for me. That’s nice you’re in a group that talks about it. I’m in a great small group that is very kind towards me even though none of them suffer from it as far as I know. Thanks for stopping by.
