Let me introduce myself as, “The Very First Hebrew Lexicographer!”
This is not an idle boast.
I have published, “The Very First Hebrew Manual without Fake Vowel Points,” c. 2007, Sid Williams, Severn Lamps Library.
I am the first one to translate Genesis 1.1 correctly:
“In beginning [plural] Gods (MYHLA) creating (Ptcp.) of the heavens and of the earth.”
Septuagint: “In the* beginning God** made^ [...] ^^ the heaven^* and [...]% the earth.”
* “the” is not in text.
** Gods is plural (MYHLA); single God is LA.
^6 “creating” is a participle (ARB) with no Person Indicator prefixed. “He created” is ARBH; H = He.
^^ preposition, “of” omitted.
^* “Heavens” is always plural in Hebrew because “sun” is daytime heaven and Moon and Stars are night time HHeaven.
% Preposition, “of” omitted again.
Your mention of, “Christ” and “Messiah” and “Yahweh” are all errors.
“Anointed,” in the Greek, corrupted to read “Christ.” “Christos” is single, male, Anointed [Person].
“Anointed” in Hebrew corrupted to read, “Messiah.”
There are no vowels in Hebrew; see definition of “Hebrew Language” in the encyclopedia.
Strong’s Hebrew #4899; (CH)YSM = Anointed – 103 times, and Messiah – 2 times.
(CH)[I/Y][A]S[E]M = no vowels in Hebrew.
The world famous Jewish writer, Aaron Dotan, said the Masoretes added the vowels from AD 750 to AD 950 to be able to pronounce the words, and make Hebrew a spoken language.
So then, the Jews add their own vowels, and translate letter-to-letter.
I translate word-to-word.
“Man” is MDA in Hebrew.
“Adam” is a corruption, with the addewd vowel, “A” from the Jews.
The Mythical “Eve” is HWH, “Being.” The Jews transated it “Life.”
This is part of the name of God (HWH Y) = He (Y) Being (HWHY).
When the participle (HWHY) is changed to a verb (HWH Y); then the “-ing” spelling is dropped, and it is translsated, “He (Y) Is (HWH).”
That is when man was speaking, but when God pronouced His name to Moses it was, “I Am” (HYHA) – Ex 3.14.
Hi Jeff,
My name is Chris Terry. I write a WordPress blog entitled Walking in the Way of Christ (http://crt010304.wordpress.com/). I know that you have show some support for the HCSB. I just wrote a post about the lack of a comprehensive list of scholars and pastors who are supporters (would recommend) of the HCSB. It has bothered me long enough that I am hoping that some of us who are HCSB supporters can help to reconcile this problem. The goal is to have HCSB supporters get the word out to everyone they know and create a statement (one paragraph) about why they support/recommend the HCSB. I am hoping that there will finally be a list to answer the ESV list. It is not a competition but I believe the HCSB translation deserves a more comprehensive list of supporters. Check out my post and get back to me if you will. I am hoping that you could be a partner in the effort. thanks
I’m not feeling well right now but I will certainly help at least by putting your link up somewhere.
Jeff
I see the crazies are out.
Why did I approve that first one? Must have had a bad day.
Jeff
“I see the crazies are out.”
“The crazies” possess the Seven Spirits of God.
Isa 11.1-4: Wisdom & Understanding (#1), Counsel (#2), Might (#3), Knowledge (#4), Fear of ‘He Is’ (HWHY; #5),
Judgment (#6), Righeteousness (#7).
Eph 4.4-6: One Spirit (#1), One Faith (#2), One God (#3), One Hope (#4), One Dipping (#5), One Lord (#6), One Body (#7).
There are several other lists of the Seven Spirits of God.
Why don’t you post a couple of them for us?
I’ve wasted enough time on trolls.
Aw, I thought you’d engage more for some entertainment.
Jeff
