Jesus had condemned anyone speaking as a prophet today:
“… If anyone adds to these things, God wil add to him the plagues that are written in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Book of Lfe …” – Rev 22.18-19.
Sid, that is misunderstanding the prophetic role as well as that passage.
