Of course, we all know there’s conjecture about the translations + pronunciations of the tetragrammaton on account of Jewish traditions not to speak the name aloud, and the tendancy of their scribes to write in short-hand.
But indeed, our God is our warrior and our strength, lest we forget this and think to raise a sword in his name without his saying so.
Why did you translate the tetragrammaton as “Lord” the first time but as “Yahweh” the second? (For what it’s worth, I don’t think it was ever pronounced “Yahweh.”)
I don’t mind either way, I mean there are so many names for God that the list is endless, and perhaps that is the point!
God could be trying to take the legalism out of it – not that I can say for sure, of course, but yeah… I think he knows when we’re talking to him (or about him)

Ha. I was going to use one without the tetragrammaton so there wouldn’t be any confusion.

You couldn’t slip that one by us
That was a nice verse!
No emoticons from me though! *smile!*

Joel that’s HCSB and it was their verse for the day. I didn’t give any thought to the translation. I certainly can’t translate!

Joel H,
I too wondered. I was a bit curious about the same. Perhaps, style?
