Sorry if I gave you the wrong impression. I'm learning Greek on my own and am switching from Croy's book to Black's.

Thanks Paul. I don't doubt accenting rules are important, but maybe not for the first semester of Greek.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't plan on going past 1st year Greek but I will keep that in mind as I go through.

Ooh, don't let Carson hear you say accents aren't as important! See his <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Greek-Accents-Students-D-Carson/dp/0801024943/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1252351266&sr=8-1" rel="nofollow">Greek Accents: A Student's Manual</a>.

Happy Greeking!

May I suggest, if you're not already past this, that next to understanding the Genitive case, learning the prepositions and articles are quintessential to mastering 1st and 2nd year Greek?

Probably not. I certainly wouldn't qualify as a teacher as much as I know you all look to me for my incredible wisdom.
Jeff

(you know I'm kidding, just for those not familiar)
