I may have to take issue with that assertion.
But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.” And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching. (Matthew 22:29-33)
well, of course, but it’s kinda missing the point.
Stan don’t make me come over there. Calvin isn’t with us anymore and Jesus is. However, your point also reminds me of 1 Thess. 5:10 and 1 Cor. 15.
Jeff
Calvin may not be with us but he lives nonetheless. In fact, there is a great cloud of witnesses I’ve read about somewhere.
Stan, I got your point. I didn’t know you were such a sharp guy?
I always knew Stan is sharp. He knows and uses Scripture well.
It will be nice to meet the cloud in heaven.
Jeff
my comment was refering to the quote and not to Stan’s comment (just in case it was missed).
