I dont go to “that” church.Lol. But I loved this book. The reason I got to read it was I just wanted to have a look into Calvin’s personal life and learn how he viewed the bible, God and who he was as a person as I had heard that a group of people called Arminians hated him. One thing that struck me was there’s very little that Calvin wrote about himself-he preferred to paint God in bright big colours and he smudged him on self out as he magnified the picture of God. Even in death -I loved this book and I’m considering getting a copy of the “Institutes of the christian religion”. I am falling in love with reformed theology it seems.

Yes, said I. Basically a synopsis of Calvin himself as opposed to how Calvin influenced their writings.

This was a Reformation Trust review.

I think yes but I’m not exactly sure what you mean. They quoted Calvin a lot in the book. Or are you referring to their other writings?
