Paul, that would be nice. A couple of the reviews compare it with the NIVSB but that's it. I'll be getting the Reformation Study Bible. Is that the same as "Spirit of the Reformation Study Bible"?
Jeff

I have been interested in seeing how others compare this with the Spirit of the Reformation Study Bible. My analysis indicates that this bible tends to try to appeal to a broader audience. Some dispensational ideas come through in some of the introductions. However, I find that there is little acknowledgement of sacramental theologies. Surely these deserve more discussion than any dispensational ideas which have only been around 150 years or so. I really like this Bible, but am just interested in knowing how others compare this to other evangelical study bibles. paul

Hi Jason. I will write to you privately.

You're a lot farther with Greek than I'll probably go. I don't even want to think about Hebrew at this point.

Your blog looks very interesting and I will take a closer look at it.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you around.
Jeff

Hey there,I like the blog! I too have many similar interests. I am currently taking Mounces "Basiscs of Biblical Greek." We are on adjectives at the moment and I am refreshing myself on English grammar too. Next up is Hebrew. I think after I tackle that I am going to aim for Latin. So what is the deal with the NLT? I realize that may sound like an uneducated inquery but I have honestly had no regard for this translation. Am I wrong? I have read D.A. Carson's book on "The King James Version Debate." That was a solid book dealing with manuscripts and helping me to understand a little more (other than the KJV which I hold in hight regard). As I get to know the greek better I find it hard to be happy with any English Bible! I do use the ESV. It was good to visit, please stop by my neck of the woods some time. I will be comming back here regularly.Brother Jason
