If you had to select only five or six verses you would pray every morning which ones would they be?
My choices as of now are:
Psalms 86:11 HCSB
Teach me Your way, Lord,
and I will live by Your truth.
Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name.
Luke 9:23 HCSB
If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
Luke 11:3 HCSB
Give us each day our daily bread.
Matthew 6:33 HCSB
seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness
Luke 22:42 HCSB
“…not My will, but Yours, be done.”
Colossians 1:11-12 NRSV
may you be prepared to endure everything with patience, while joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.
Psalm 19:14 HCSB
May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to You,
Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.
If you’d like to list your own, please do so here or make a new post on your blog and let us know.

Hi,
Here is one for you:
2 Sam. 14:14 NLT
All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him.
I have been rejunevated by reading the above bible verses and pray to Christ to endure to live in those lines.
That’s good to hear Davis. Thanks for stopping by.
Jeff
My “favorite” Scripture is John 3:16 because God has been so patient with me through His Son, Jesus MY Christ. BUT, as I use to hear the old saints say in my very young years of life, “He has brought me a mighty long ways, and I just can’t thank Him enough.” I am so grateful that He is in my life. Praise God!!! I have no doubt that He loves me “for the Bible tells me so.” Amen
Very nice comment Enez. Thank you for stopping by and writing your thoughts.
Jeff

Hello Everyone,
Here is my favourite morning bible passage.
Psalm 118:24
Bless y’all
Hello. Thank you for the verse.
Jeff
The LORD shall command the blessing upon your storehouses and in all that you set your hands to: and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your GOD gives you. Deut 28:8
I have this day set you over the nations, and over the kingdoms to root-out, pull-down, and destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant. Deut 10:5
Every morning when I wake up I say “thank you Lord” for this new day” I ask God to bless my day, to sweep off my way everything that may hinder my blessings from reaching me. Then as I walk out from my room I spiskle the blood of Jesus [spiritual blood] on everything in my room, and the main door of the house, and the outside gate. I believe what we believe in is done for us. Trusting GOD does not require one’s reasoning, because GOD is far from we can think of him. The bible tells us that the earth was made by the WORD. In the book of Genesis GOD said “let there be…” and what he said was put there. God gave us the same authority in the WORD, “I have this day set you over the nations, and over the kingdoms to root-out, pull-down, and destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant. Deut 10:5″ this scripture works for me well, you know satan doesn’t rest even for a single second, and the only shild to destroy him is the WORD. May God bless us as we read and understand the godly scriptures to save ourselves and the entire world
Thanks for stopping by and commenting Lillian.

Most of these posts are from way back, but I’d just like to say thanks… I’m a 28 year old single mother, and this morning I’m sitting on my front porch drinking coffe, about to leave for orientation to a college. I’m finally returning to school after a LONG time, and happened to google morning bible verse, to give me a ready start to my new adventure. I came across your site, and was blessed by Gods words of encouragement for me!! Thank you, thank you, for sharing
You’re very welcome and I can’t tell you how much this means to me. To put some of God’s words out there and for them to bless someone in that way is a great thing God has done.
Jeff
way cool ill do my best today to line my life and my familys life up to these script well gotta go get very praid up
Really Good. The efforts of the site-owners are really valuable to those who seek God’s words in the net. Here is my version:
The LOVE and MERCY of GOD is Fresh and New every morning. Breath in that fresh new love and mercy of God every morning so that you have a blessed day FULL OF BLESSINGS AND GRACES all through, a thanks-giving evening with God and a pleasant and blissful night to wake up in the following morning to experience this wonderful gift of God day after day throughout life. GOD LOVES YOU.
(The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.) [Lam 3:22]
Thanks. Not sure why none of us thought of that. I even have it memorized.
Jeff
I just reached office & googled for morning verse as my verse of the day link wasn’t working for some reason.
And here i hit upon beautiful verses to start my day with. Today i was really looking for renewed strength and the above verses really strengthened my promise to GOD that i will follow him as he recently heard my prayers speadily and rescued me despite my unfaithfulness.
I was searching how to keep my promise and particularly this verse: (Psalms 86:11 HCSB
Teach me Your way, Lord,
and I will live by Your truth.
Give me an undivided mind to fear Your name.)
showed me the way – I would like to contribute one as well.
Philippians 4:19
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
The name of the Lord be praised in Heaven and on Earth. Amen
Thank you. That’s a good one to remember as we start off.
Jeff
