Hi Bryan,
Sproul’s book is a deal where they send you a PDF of one of their books and if you review it on your blog they will then send you the book. So I will have a review of the book here after I read it. Problem is I don’t want to print out the PDF and can only read so much on the computer at a time. It’s relatively short though.

I concur with Mike, this sounds like a really good list. I read Suffering and the Sovereignty of God awhile back. It was an incredible book. Reading Steve Saint’s chapter was like a punch to the gut. I’d be interested in hearing what you think of Sproul’s book as I’ve been thinking about picking it up.

Although not fiction, this reminds me of the book Reading the Bible With the Dead: What You Can Learn from the History of Exegesis That You Can’t Learn from Exegesis Alone.

Dead composers (music) are pretty good too.

Yes, there is good Christian Fiction - it was written by people who are dead now. Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Graham Greene, Lewis, Tolkien.

But they’re all dead. Dead fiction is really the only fiction worth reading…

There’s too much I want to learn to read fiction although I’ve heard from sources close to me that they learn some things here and there from good Christian fiction.

Looks like a good list to me! Just about any list of books is by definite a good list…unless its full of Christian fiction…
